Ten Degrees at 101 George Street is a build-to-rent development just a short walk from East Croydon Station. The development consists of two towers, scaling a total of 135 metres and comprising of 546 new homes for Croydon.
The two towers were at the time of construction the world's tallest buildings to have been built off-site using modular construction techniques. The nearly 1500 modules are manufactured and installed by Vision Modular Systems from their purpose-built factory in Bedford.
Modular construction is a quicker alternative to traditional construction, which allows certain aspects of the fit out and construction such as electrics and plumbing to be done before the module is transported to site.
You will find roof gardens at the top of each tower, as well as a new civic space which will offer green space to the local community, as well as gallery spaces, cafes and flexible spaces.
