2018
Over the course of a decade the Old Marylebone Town Hall was transformed into a major new site for the London Business School.
Architects Sheppard Robson were responsible for the £60m design and restoration of the 1920's civic building and the surrounding annexes.
The site is now used predominately by the London Business School, however some space is still reserved for civic and political use such as council meetings and marriage ceremonies.
Opening in January 2018, the new site included a new glass and steel structure at the entrance, linking the original Town Hall's Council House and annex buildings. The project also included further restorative work on the exterior stonework, interior engraved wood paneling and parquet flooring.
Additionally, a new lecture theatre was added to the rear of the building, where you will find six new lecture theatres, with the largest space regularly used for the Council Chamber for Westminster's monthly meetings.
