Post-War Craft

Location: Anise Gallery, London
Photographer: Matthew White
2017

Post-War Craft was an exhibition by AVR’s Matthew White for the London Festival of Architecture, 2017.

The project focuses on London’s Post-War buildings and their impact on the capital’s skyline, with White’s research pointing towards South London’s 20th Century social housing developments.

The final images are reminiscent of photographic typologies - consistent in style and form but each unique to it’s specific architect and design.

The exhibition also included further research material, including tv interviews, original blueprints and documentary photography.

The project continues, with White currently researching further post-war developments within the various London boroughs.
