2020 - Present
2020 saw the team at AVR London move from an old spice factory in Shad Thames to an 1800s mews building in the heart of Greenwich.
Built in the early 1800s, 6 David Mews originally consisted of three interlocking historic industrial buildings, which in recent years had been used as comercial space for a range of creative businesses.
Since AVR took ownership of the space the interior has been stripped back, retro-fitted and co-joined and now functions as an office and exhibition space for AVR London.
Layers of plasterboard and extensive ‘boxing in’ have been removed, original beams and features have been uncovered and several interior walls removed, thus creating light and space across the site.
Working with Light Earth Design there is a scheme emerging to introduce further light into the heart of the ground floor, re-purposing the roof with internal landscaped terraces to create a mindful workplace in the heart of Greenwich.
