Holbrook House was designed by award-winning architects Simpson Haugh and Partners in 2019 as a part of the new GLA affordable student housing regulations.
The 24-story-high student housing complex near North Acton Station has 497 bedrooms, including a mix of bedrooms and studio rooms, as well as three and four bedroom apartments. On campus, students can unwind and socialise in a gym, a common room, and games facilities.
The building's strong exterior is reinforced by the use of three different materials: natural terracotta tile, a brightly reflective metal panel, and a glass rain screen system. The colour scheme of dark blue to light blue, blends in with its surroundings and enhances the building's visibility in a successful way.
